Year 2

In Year 2 your class teacher is Mrs Morley .

We also have Mrs Harding, Mrs Burke, Mrs Lee and Mrs Ivey to support us with our learning throughout the week.

Every week, children will have either a piece of literacy or maths homework to help them consolidate this weeks learning at home.  Please can all homework be done in pencil? Thank you.

Please could they also be practising their 2, 5 and 10 x tables whenever possible.  Please come and see Mrs Morley when you think your child is confident with these times tables.

Here is a link to a quick fire times tables game that the children can use to practise at home;

They will also have a weekly list of spellings to learn. Spellings are tested on a Friday. They will then receive their new list on the same day, for their test the following week.

We have PE on a Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure that your child's PE kit is in school on these days and that it is clearly labelled with their name.

Children need indoor and outdoor PE kits in school all through the year.

This half term Year 2 have been finding out what it means to be a historian and they have been learning about the Great Fire of London.

We have been comparing London inn the past with London how it looks today and we have been using paintings, drawings and photographs to compare.

We look forward to inviting you to our parent share on WEDNESDAY 13TH DECEMBER @ 2.50pm where the children are looking forward to showing you what they have learnt about the Great Fire.

Music share

Thank you for coming to our Music share just before October half term.  We hope you enjoyed our song, Rhythm in the way we way.  We worked really hard to prepare all the words and perform them with our own actions.
