Music Share December 2017

We shared our musical learning of buccaneers and buried gold, through the story Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. Tempo, major and minor and singing in two parts were some of the things we shared.  Thank you to all who came and we hoped you enjoyed it.

History Share - December 2017

Once again a huge thank you to all who came to our Egyptian Share on Friday 1st December.  We hope you enjoyed our Egyptian Artefact Quiz and writing with Hieroglyphs.

The children really enjoyed sharing their learning with you.

Science Share Autumn 2017

Thank you to all who came to our class science share on Monday.  It was great to see so many faces; mums, dads, aunties and grandmas too! We hope that everyone enjoyed sharing in the children's learning and testing their own knowledge of circuits too!  There was a good buzz in the room with lots of competitiveness in our quiz!  You were all winners in our book!  We look forward to sharing more learning with you soon.

Science Workshop

Alex from Resource Futures (sponsored by Torbay Council) joined Year 4 for a 'Recycled Materials Challenge' workshop.

We enjoyed learning about where materials come from and what they can be recycled into.  The children learnt lots of interesting facts about the damaging affects that we can have on our environment.  We also learnt about the difference between renewable and non renewable sources.

Ask your children to share their knowledge with you and see what actions your family can take to help the environment.

This term we have enjoyed learning about the names of animals in Spanish. have also learnt to say the alphabet.  The last two weeks of this term have been spent learning about Christmas traditions in Spain.
