Meet Billy Bear. He is nursery's class bear. He will be going to visit all of the children in the class to have adventures with them at home. He can't wait to meet you!
Week starting 6th December. Lots of Christmas fun and learning!
Week starting the 29th November. We have made giant ball runs with the pipes outside. Some of the children did some lovely mark making to produce designs. We have also made our Christmas cards this week and are starting to learn about the story of the nativity.
Week starting the 22nd of November. This week we are concentrating on the story of 'Lucy's Picture'. The story is about a little girl who creates a feely picture for her Grandfather, who is blind. We will be investigating all our senses this week.
Week starting the 15th November. We are continuing our Diwali topic. This week we are making diva lamps out of dough and also Diwali candles out of cardboard.
Making yummy cakes to celebrate Diwali. We also made delicious coconut barfi.
Week starting the 8th November- learning about Diwali. We made sparkly Diwali playdough. We cooked Diwali cakes to share with our families and yummy coconut barfi. The children enjoyed creating mini books.We have made divas and rangoli.
Week starting the 1st of November. Pumpkins, lots of maths learning and a mini topic this week: learning about fireworks.
Week starting the 18th of October. Making bird feeders from our left over pumpkins and continuing to learn about harvest.
An autumn walk to look carefully at signs of autumn. We looked at the artist Goldsworthy and made our own natural autumn pictures.
Week starting the 11th of October. Making houses for snails, Conker runs and lots more fun learning this week in Nursery!
Making bread hedgehogs to celebrate harvest together.
Week starting the 4th of October. Sensory play with cooked spaghetti. Playing with pumpkins (helping our fine motor skills) and autumn art.
Every afternoon when we come back inside we have some quiet, reflective time. We listen to music and have a candle. We do some mindfulness breathing exercises everyday.
Making yummy apple crumble. We are thinking about harvest and autumn this week in nursery. So we decided to make apple crumble to take home to share with our families.
28th September. Planting new flowers and herbs in our garden area.
Week starting the 27th September. This week we have been learning about the routines of nursery class and have been making new friends. We have been learning about our school value of friendship.
