ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS SEPTEMBER 2022

On Wednesday 28th September 2022, Year 2 were visited by the Animal Man Chris from Animal encounters who brought along a range of interesting animals for us to see.  The children learned lots of new information about their Life Cycles, Animal Survival and other interesting facts; they even got to hold the animals too!

A big thank you to FRIENDS OF HOMELANDS who supported us with the cost of this experience.  The children had a fantastic time!

These were our favourite bits:

I liked the blue tongued skink because it had a blue tongue. (Roy)
I liked it when the lizard licked my nose! (Kaiden)
I liked the stick insect because it felt tickly. (Katie)

I thought the armadillo looked really cute and the shell felt strange. (Athena)
I liked all of it because I got to hold the animals. (James)
I loved the armadillo the most because he sleeps in the day. (Zane)
I liked when the armadillo was eating the baby beetles. (Effy)
I thought the armadillo's back was bumpy! (Paige)
I liked it when the snake wrapped around my arm. (Lakota)
