Please try to keep reading regularly and don't forget you can still quiz at home!

Every week, you will be set a comprehension. There are two comprehensions - you only have to do one. This week's comprehension starts with some questions based on retrieval and then the other questions are based on VIPERS. Don't forget if you need some help, you can either email us and we can talk through the questions or ask someone at home.

These questions will based on finding the meaning of words in context or other words that mean the same thing.

For these questions, you might not be able to find or copy the answer directly from the text so you will need to use the clues.

These questions involve you making a sensible guess about what will happen.

These questions involve giving details about what has happened.

For these questions, you can find the answers directly in the text and can copy.

For these questions, you need to read the text and work out the main events or points. A summary is a shortened version of something.

So far, we have learnt about nouns, determiners and verbs. This week, we are going to learn about adjectives and adverbs. They can be confused but the clue is in the name. We have uploaded a video and online quizzes or information documents and worksheets. It is up to you which you use - you don't have to do both!
