Homework

Homework will be set on a Friday and will be due in on a Tuesday. One week this will be a maths task, related to what we have been learning in class. The following week this will be a literacy based task.

Children are expected to read at home at least 4 times a week and should bring their reading books into school every day as well as taking them home at the end of every day.

Spellings will be set weekly and will be tested on either a Monday or a Thursday which will be the same day that they receive their spellings.

This year’s Year Four class will be the first to have a national multiplication assessment in the summer term. It is an expectation that all children know all of their multiplication and division facts up to 12 x 12. These should be practised at home on a regular basis and children will be tested weekly.
