Homework

Staying on top of and completing homework on time is very important in Year 6 as it preparing them for the responsibility of homework at secondary school.

READING:

Children are expected to read at least 4 times a week outside of school and record this in their reading logs. This can be independent reading or with an adult.

SPELLINGS:

There will be weekly spellings to learn. These will be tested every Tuesday and a new list reissued. The children are to take responsibility for practising these regularly.

HOMEWORK LOGS:

Every child in Year 6 has a Homework Log which is to be looked after and taken pride in. Every Friday, details of the week’s homework will be put into the log and will be due in on the following Wednesday. Children must come and see the teachers in class on a Monday if they are having difficulties with the homework.

The weekly Homework Log tasks will be posted here on the Homework Page.
