Homework

Reading

Please make sure that you read with your child for a few minutes each day and note in their reading diary how they are progressing with each read through of their book. Reading at home is vital for the children at this stage as they need constant practise of sound and word recognition in order to become effective and confident readers.

Number

Take time each day to practise counting with your child. You may want to count different objects in your home and try to represent each amount of objects with the correct numeral (example: four potatoes can be represented by the number 4).
