How could you measure the benefits of walking? (Insert your exercise here)

To approach this question you would need to think about…

  • How could you test walking against other methods? 
  • Does it matter how far the distance is or where you walk (roads / beach / fields)


Some ideas:

Could you compare walking different distances?

Could you compare walking on a flat pavement to walking up a hill?

Could you compare walking a fixed distance to jogging the same distance?


Once you’ve thought about this…

You would need to decide what will you measure?

  • What changes happen in your body that you could measure?
  • How will you measure it?
  • How will you record it?
  • What do you need to do to make sure that you are accurate?
