My grandchildren attended Homelands from 2006 to 2015.  I was pleased with the progress they made and their successful transition into secondary school.

I became a Governor in order to give something back to the school, using my particular skills to support the school’s upward progress.

I have been a Primary Governor for 9 years serving on various Governance Committees; I currently serve as Chairman.

I come from a criminal justice system background having worked in various management roles within the Prison Service for 34 years.

Away from school I continue with youth work, volunteering within the Local Authority.

I am the maintained Primary School representative on the Torbay Schools Forum which is responsible for school funding and its allocation.

My other interests include Football, where I have managed and coached at Senior and Youth level.

The Governing Body are a dedicated team doing all it can to improve the education of our children in a safe and secure environment.
