New Starters 2021-2022

Welcome to Homelands Primary School!

Normally at this time of year your children would have had several visits in school with you to familiarise themselves with the setting and begin to make some friends.  Unfortunately due to the current circumstances this is not a service we can currently offer at the moment.

We are very excited to be welcoming our new foundation children to school and we wanted to reassure you that we are currently planning how we can provide a transition that will enable your child to settle in happily.

Before your child starts in nursery or reception you and your child will have:

* been able to see a video explaining the routines of the day, information about uniform and lunches and other information related to your child's school day.

* a visit to the classroom for you and your child to familiarise yourself with the environment, meet your teachers and teaching assistants, have a play and meet some new friends.

* an individual meeting with your child's teacher to discuss your child's interests and answer any questions.

We will be in touch with more specific information about school procedures in September and will give you specific dates when transition meetings will happen and when your child will start school.

We will be in touch!  We can't wait to meet you!
