Sports & Wellbeing Week
June saw the return of Sports and Wellbeing week with pupils competing for their houses in a over 100 sporting events from team games to swimming, races to time trials. The tremendous efforts of our pupils throughout the week was inspiring for all though it was not only their spirit of competition which impressed us but the way in which each child embraced the values of sportsmanship. When not vying for house points, every class had time for myriad wellbeing and mindfulness activities including art and music.
We were also delighted to welcome everyone back into school for our traditional sports days and hope everyone in attendance had a wonderful time and enjoyed the family picnic. Thank you to the Friends of Homelands for providing refreshments throughout the day.
Whilst Anstey’s triumphed in the end, it was a closely fought race and any house could have taken the crown heading into the final day of events. Here are the final scores for the week in what is historically one of our closest ever finishes!
1st Place Anstey’s 7666
2nd Place Babbacombe 7542
3rd Place Meadfoot 7322
4th Place Oddicombe 6633
However, the awards don’t stop there! Throughout the week, teachers were on the lookout for exemplary sports people to welcome into our Homelands Sports Week Hall of Fame. It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of this prestigious award and say a huge Homelands CONGRATULATIONS to two special Hall of Fame inductees from each class:

Year 1: Mia-Rose and Kaiden
Year 2: Eleanor and Reuben
Year 3: Molly and Scott
