Spring Term

Samba drumming share - March 2020

This term we have continued to work hard to be able to play the different Samba instruments as a group.  We made up our own patterns with a partner and played them as part of our performance. Unfortunately we could not share it with our families but Mr Daniel and Mrs Worth came to watch us perform and they were both very impressed!

You can watch our performance by clicking on the link below. We hope you enjoy it!

Spanish

Last week Year 3 took part in the 'Doce Uvas' (12 grapes) challenge!  (Many people in Spain try to eat 12 grapes in time with the Midnight bell-chimes on New Year's Eve.  They believe that if they eat all 12 grapes it will bring them good luck for the next 12 months!)

In our Spanish class, lots of us ate 12 grape-halves each in time with the sound of a bell chiming 12 times.  We thought that it was:

¡fantástico!  (Ella)

¡extraordinario!  (Frances)

¡regular!  (Joel)

!estupendo!  (Martha)

It was fun, but I wouldn't try it  (Ollie)

¡así así!  (Ayla)

It was tricky keeping them all in my mouth! (Katie)
