Spring Term

PUPPET WORKSHOP

For a little treat on the last day of the Spring Term, the children enjoyed a puppet workshop.  They learnt about how puppets are used in film and television; they had a go at using puppets used on the small screen and then created their own sock puppets for a class performance to the song 'I'm still standing' from the film Sing.

WORLD BOOK DAY 2022

The children looked fantastic in their costumes and enjoyed sharing their favourite books with the class.

The children have been sharing this half term's homework inspired by our Learning Journey: Road Trip USA and our Science Learning: Materials.  The children have especially enjoyed building shelters for their toys!

Well done to everyone!  We're very proud of what they have produced.

Design and Technology February 2022

For this project, the children had the opportunity first to explore building with materials in a junk modelling session, thinking about how to cut and connect the materials together.  They had a chance to design their dream car and then, create a design for a car they could build with recycled materials, following the initial exploration session.

Then in the final session they built their cars, following their designs and using axels and wheels!
