Spring Term

Music Share - March 2019

Thank you to all our friends and family who came to listen and share what we have been learning about in music.  We sang our warm-up song, performed some of our own songs and with the help of our adults made up new versions.  We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

Please follow the link below to watch some performances of our own songs.

Multicultural Week - African Music Workshop

Year 2 were lucky enough to have a visit from Andy Warns Sounds Roadshow where they got to experience what traditional music of Africa was like. They got to play a variety of instruments and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent learning about African music.

GEOGRAPHY- WHERE IN THE WORLD IS GERMANY?

In The 1st half of the Spring Term our topic learning has a Geography focus and we learn Where in the world is Germany?

To start off our learning we always thing about what it means to be a geographer.

Here are some of the ideas we came up with;

I am being a geographer when….

I learn about the world- Riley

When I look at different places- Isabelle

When I learn about other countries- Myla

I learn about what’s around the world- Conner

I look at lots of photos- Jake

I look at a globe- Ayla- Millie

I look at a map- Martha

We learn about the physical and human geography of Berlin and we then compare it to Torquay.

At the end of the unit, we will create a leaflet to advertise the wonderful places there are to visit in and around Torquay!
