Spring Term

Multicultural Week - Indian Music Workshop

Year 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from Andy Warns Sounds Roadshow where they got to experience what traditional music of India was like. They got to play a variety of instruments and performed at the end of the session.

Music Maker Jam!

This term Year 6 have been using the app 'Music Maker Jam' to make their own musical tracks.  They started by choosing a style of music they enjoyed and, working with a partner played around with their style and started to combine a variety of sounds. They experimented by changing the tempo, adjusting the pitch and mixing sounds using realtime effects. This app is exciting and really easy to use, making music production even more fun and easy than you ever imagined.

You can listen to a few example below. We hope you enjoy them!

Roxanna & Lucy - Bass Vision

Kyle & Harry - Toxic Hardstyle

In P.E year 6 have been doing dance as part of their Spring unit. Week 1 and 2 they were looking at The Haka as a war dance and taught movements that they later performed in week 2 to their class. Week 3 and 4 we are learning Bollywood. They have been extremely fortunate that Vicky Oakley came in and taught them 8 moves to which they will perform and create their own in lesson 4.
