Mr Essiful came into F2.
Mr Essiful came to talk to F2 about life in Ghana. He was born there and lived there until he was 12. He showed us where it was on the map of Africa. Mr Essiful taught us about the food that grows there and showed us some traditional clothes that are worn. We were very lucky to play with some of the instruments he brought with him. We learnt a new song with him called Che Che Kule. When we share our learning with our grown ups we will sing it to you.
On Tuesday Mrs Hales brought the ambulance in for F1 and F2 to see. We all went up on the lift and we lay down on the bed. Mrs Hales taught us where our heart is and said that the owl on our school jumpers can look after it. We sat up in the front and put on the flashing lights. We learnt so much about how Paramedics helps us. Thank you Mrs Hales for coming in with your ambulance.
Spanish
This term the children have been really excited because they have started to learn Spanish. They now know how to say 'Hello' and 'Goodbye' and ask each other how they feel. They think it is: '¡extraordinario!', '¡fantástico!', '¡estupendo!'
F2 visited Pizza Express on Thursday 24th January. We went on a coach and we walked a few metres to the restaurant.
We learnt all about the importance of washing our hands before we made our pizza. Anton the chef showed us how to spread the dough with our fingers around the edge, it was very stretchy! We then had to use the back of the spoon to spread the tomato sauce up the edges. After that we sprinkled the mozzarella on. Whilst the pizza was cooking we tasted anchovies, chicken, ham and cucumber.
Thank you to Wendy and Anton for teaching us how to make pizza, we are experts now!
