For the last week of term we have enjoyed a teddy bear fun week. We have done lots of fun teddy activities and games. We have also teddy bear pic nics.

Investigating and creating art inspired by a real mackerel. Continuing our sea topic.

Painting waves and sorting fish. Our maths and early writing pattern activities today. Some of the children also made some wonderful animal enclosures today.

For the last three weeks of the summer term we will be learning about the sea and beaches. We have enjoyed having a big sandcastle building competition. We will also be learning about sea creatures. Our book focus will be the story 'The Rainbow Fish'.

More Handa's Surprise inspired learning and fun!

Sports Week. We have enjoyed lots of sporty activities and fun active games. We have done some timed lap races outside. The lap race winners were Harper, Milly-Moon and Ronnie. We played the fun smelly sock throwing game! The winners of the sock throw were Milly-Moon in first place, Damon and Millie M came second. We played some games of musical bumps. Millie M, Ryan and Beau won the musical bumps. We played the hot potato game. That was won by Lucy, Harper and Scarlett. We also loved chasing some giant bubbles!

We are learning about the story Handa's Surprise. It is set in Africa, so we will be learning about Africa as well. Today we enjoyed counting elephants and exploring adding two amounts together.

June the 13th. This week we are making Father's Day cards for our Dads, Grandads and Uncles. The children have carefully painted lovely rainbows for the front of their cards. We have also been enjoying the sunshine outside and inside we have been busy exploring all of the nursery activities.

June 6th. For the next two weeks we will be learning all about fruit and vegetables. We are using the books 'Oliver's Fruit salad' and 'Oliver's Vegetables' as our book focus. We will also be busy counting and learning about number. We will learn about some new phonemes in our phonics sessions.

The Queen's Jubilee. We have been very excited to celebrate the Jubilee in class this week. By the end of the week all of the children will go home with a crown and a British flag to take to any Jubilee celebrations that they may go to with their families. We have learned about the Queen and about the Jubilee. We have had special treats at snack time to celebrate.

Week Starting the 16th May. we are continuing to learn about minibeasts. We even had some pet snails come to visit us in Nursery. We made snail soup for them to eat and watched the snails eating the soup.

Week starting the 9th of May. This week we are sharing the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We are doing some repeating pattern caterpillar pictures. We are also planting some beans to watch them grow. We had a pretend wedding outside on Monday! We have been also learning about 3D shapes and have been using them to build towers.

Week starting 3rd of May. This week we continue to learn about Eid. Eid Murbarak! We made Islamic style art with the wooden shapes. Some of us finished our Eid cards. This week we have made mehendi patterns on our clay handprints. We have also had lots of fun learning and exploring inside and outside.

Week starting the 26th of April. Eid Murbarak! Happy Eid! Over the next two weeks we will be learning about the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr.
