Academisation
Over the last two years, the Governing Body has been considering whether our school should convert to an academy and join a multi-academy trust – Education South West – or remain within the Local Authority.
The Governors would like to thank everyone that fed back to them during the consultation period earlier in the school year. All of the feedback received was carefully considered before any decision was made.
Following a meeting of the school’s Governors on Tuesday 20th May 2025, we are delighted to inform you that the Governors have formally decided that we will convert to an academy and join Education South West. Governors believe this will be a positive move for both our school and for the Trust.
The process of joining the Trust will now begin and is likely to take between six to twelve months. We will update you further as we move through the process.
