SUPER SCIENCE!

During Spring 2 we have developed our knowledge of materials further through looking at reversable and irreversible changes.

We ended our unit today (28th March) with observing a couple of super cool reactions between different materials.  There was definitely a lot of excitement in the air!

YEAR 5 TRIP TO BUCKLAND ABBEY

At the end of the Autumn term, Year 5 took a trip to the National Trust’s Buckland Abbey – a once impressive Tudor Mansion and the former home of the famous Tudor explorer and privateer Sir Francis Drake.  The children enjoyed an immersive experience into the world of the Tudors to add to their recent History topic.  They particularly enjoyed dressing up and some even had a little Tudor dance!

SCIENCE: FORCES

In our first science session of the term, the children have been learning about gravity and then exploring how to measure the weight (in Newtons) of an object using a Force Meter.
