Harvest Assembly - Torquay Community Larder

We held a special assembly for harvest today. Mel and Linda from Torquay Community Larder talked to us about how important it is to share and also their work at the centre.

The Torquay Community Larder is a charity which provides emergency food parcels to some of the most vulnerable individuals and families experiencing food poverty in Torquay.  It is based in the Salvation Army Hall in Market Street and is open between 10 am and 2 pm Mondays to Fridays.

We have chosen to support this charity as it has closes links with our Homelands community – Mel Toby (who has a child in Year 2) is a volunteer for them and her family were involved in setting the larder up.

Our School Council will be visiting the larder next week to see what happens to your donations.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED!
